Win a Color Stories Fan Deck, Feel Inspired!

In my hands I have the new Benjamin Moore Color Stories fan deck and I’m in color love.  The color collection consists of 240 one of a kind colors that are so vibrant and exquisite that every color comes to life.Benjamin Moore fan deckWhat makes this so different?  Well it’s a revolutionary, full spectrum color collection.  And what exactly does that mean?  That unlike most paint formulas these colors don’t use black or gray tints.  Instead, more pigments (between five and seven) are used to create each color compared to traditional methods that generally utilize three pigments.  The bottom line is that each color is breathtaking at any time of the day.

The fun part about these new colors is that each one tells an enticing tale about how it was inspired by either found objects, moments in time, and pure imagination.

These are my three favorite Color Stories.I’m looking to share my Color Stories love.  I have three fan decks ($32 value) to give-away to three lucky readers.  All you have to do is leave a comment below declaring which of the 240 one-of-a-kind colors and its story is your favorite.  To view the entire collection and choose, visit Benjamin Moore Color Stories.

Three lucky readers will be selected at random on Friday, January 27th at 3pm EST.

In the comments below tell me your favorite Color Stories color and story.

  1. can’t choose one: hidden sapphire, barely there, cosmopolitan, museum piece, quicksand

good thing i’m repainting my house this year!

  2. I need help figuring out colors to paint my house. I have a lot of paints to get this year and I would love to have one of these to help me choose which ones I like the best… Thank You!

  3. I love Old Soul not just for it’s beauty but also because it describes me! Gray is such a modern neutral color and I can picture this accented with any color of the rainbow! Gotta find a room to use this in!

  4. Wicker basket takes me back to my wedding day and the wicker basket we used at our ceremony. We are looking forward to celebrating our 19th anniversary in just a few short weeks.

  5. Love the old soul for the base color for my living room. It has a lot of charactor but still nautral enough to add a pop of color. Thinking of a rustic red. This past Autumn I painted the dining room Misitole green.

  6. I am repainting my whole house this year and could use some inspiration, but a color I’m loving is silken blue . . . it is a soft blue hue that pairs well with warmer colors (egyptian clay, tropical fruit) or with traditional neutrals (plaster of paris or bare essence). I could do a lot of beautiful things with this fan deck!

  7. I love, love, love Bennington Gray! I had my kitchen cabinets made by Plain and Fancy, because they match any Benjamin Moore color and I wanted the Bennington Gray, so I found a place who had Plain and Fancy just for this color. I have been asked many times what the color is. The other fav is Elk Horn which I have with the Bennington Gray. Great colors, non compare. I could really use the color fan too.

  8. Definitely “old soul”. It evokes feelings of warmth and tradition yet can be used in a modern setting as well. I LOVE so many of the new colors and of course, they are inspring me to repaint my house.

  9. Which Color of the Year Do You Prefer? – Tangerine Tango
Violet Twilight Volume – Pinot Grigio Grape
Earthen Hues Volume – Berry Fizz

There are so many beautiful colors that are available, I almost wish I had a room for every color available!

  10. Fiery Sunset really appeals to me. My favorite color is a particular orangey/red sort of persimmon shade which according to a color profile quiz I once took, makes me a true eccentric. I don’t know about that, but the colors of the Fiery Sunset volume are really beautiful. My next favorite would be the Elemental Greens. The greens are so soft and subdued and “grayed” to a subtle hue. My two favorites are just about at opposite ends of the spectrum – how about that. My fingers are crossed to win this fandeck – it would get so much use for my design business!

  11. Four years ago, my mother-in-law passed away, leaving us the family farm. Since then, we have spent our summers there with our children, working our tails off gardening, raising animals for 4-H projects, farm maintenance, etc. I always joke my husband asking why our “vacation” home has to be harder work than our real life. On blistering hot 15 hour+ days, I imagine myself at a beach house with the cool salty air breezing through the open porch where I am relaxing. Baltic blue takes me there. I love blues and this one just transfers me there in my mind.

  12. I love Antique Glass. I love anything antique and this color would go with so many things in my home. It’s soft and soothing. It would create a comfortable room where someone could sit and relax.

  13. “…which of the 240 one-of-a-kind colors and it’s story is your favorite.” – the word “it’s” is spelled incorrectly. It should be “its”.

  14. My dream has always been to live in an old farmhouse like my grandparents had…I was so fortunate to be able to buy one, a few years ago, that was built in 1860…After totally renovating it, I decided I needed to paint my little bathroom upstairs a “just can’t live without” color….The moment I saw Benjamin Moore’s Bird’s Egg, I fell in love… It is so fresh, soothing and relaxing…Sometimes I just stop and stare at the color to take it all in….I could not be happier with my choice….Thank you Benjamin Moore!

  15. Cable knit sweater would have to be mine. It’s an amazing color but even more so, I remember being a kid and growing up by the atlantic ocean wearing warm cable knit sweaters all the time out on the rocky beaches of Newfoundland, Canada. It’s only fitting that this color reminds me of that ocean as well!

  16. I’ve always been drawn to the HC sections of the Benjamin Moore fandeck and these new ColorStories have oh so many options…. love them. I can’t wait to to take down all my samples on my wall and try cable knit sweater blue in the guest room and cafe doppio in our dining room.

  17. I’m loving the bellbottom blues! Great color. Great story. Great song. I would love to have this new color deck. The new colors look fabulous. Full spectrum color sounds wonderful.

  18. Love adriatic sea. I am trying to redo my bedroom and living room. Adriatic sea would look great in my bedroom, living room i have no idea yet! maybe the color deck will help me =)

  19. CSP-720 Dark Harbor is the most beautiful Teal for all of paint kind! It will look rich with adjacend blue or greens and sophisticated with the ever popular taupes like weimaraner af-155. So excited to encorporate these stunning hues!

  20. I am really intrigued by your colors “Rosemary Green” and “Rust” :) We live in a very open home, and on both floors you are able to visualize several other rooms from any given space. While it has offered us many challenges in choosing a color palette for our decor, it has also offered us a vehicle for introducing an array of color into our space. Each room has its own color, but the secret seems to be making it all flow and not look choppy. Our decor continues to evolve with a pleasing selection of beautiful colors found in nature. I definitely would love having a color wheel of your colors to assist me in the coloration of our ever changing decor :)

  21. Rather difficult to choose just one. But at this very moment I am loving Plaster of Paris, Grey Gardens and Hidden Sapphire. Maybe it’s the stormy day outside!

  22. After looking at the new colours from this collection, there is definitely little treasures to be found… the deepness and richness of all those hues are wonderful. I am always on the lookout for a great ‘grey’ base to play up with neutral or punch up with the latest accent colours and it looks like OLD SOUL will become an essential for me.

  23. I love Benjamin Moore paint! I am getting ready to paint my kitchen weimaraner AF-155, cabinets are a cream color so this rich brown/grey color will look wonderful! Dining room is fernwood green, which I have had for 3 years now and still love it!

  24. My fave has got to be “Tropical Fruit” (CSP-1115) with it’s Color Story!! It not pink, not orange, not peach, not brown, not salmon. It’s indescribable, gorgeous versatility!! It will pair well with blues, greens, yellows, reds, browns, just about anything. AND AND…. just as if you were wearing it, when you surround yourself with it on the walls, it makes ALL skintones just glow!! I’m all for a paint for my house that makes me look better too – LOL!! ;o)

  25. Sage Brush is such a beautiful shade of pale green that soothes and calms and takes me back to springtime. I can almost hear chirping birds when I look at it. Love, love love it!

  26. Love love love spa day! Just finished painting my entire home and now going back to do at least one room in spa day.

  27. Love the Old Soul and Hannah banana! Together so sophisticated. Need the fan deck to use on my color consultations and “spread the word” about color stories!!

  28. Camouflage is a total winner in my book. Beautiful tone that changes with each and every varied ray of sun peeking in!!!

  29. Those Color Stories shades are pretty but my heart instantly fell for Lilac Hush. I really want to paint our master bedroom in a shade like that. I am really impressed with Benjamin Moore’s endless color range!

  30. I’ve always been attracted to the creaminess of Weston Flax, yet somehow it has never been quite right for the other colors in my client’s homes. Now in my 12th year of practicing kitchen and bath design, I have the perfect place for it in my client’s office! It looks great, construction is almost complete and I can’t wait to have it photographed!

  31. I am planning on painting my powder room Kasbah. I think it will look gorgeous with white accessories and will compliment the hall outside which I will be doing in Edgecomb Gray.

  32. I’d be lying if I picked anything but Intuition, I think. It’s been open on my computer for a week, and it’s the only thing in a year that has made me second-guess Palladian Blue as the color I’m going to paint my bedroom. (Soon! Soon! We’ve had a lot to do in this new house.)

  33. How the heck am I supposed to choose just one, out of all the gorgeous colours? Simply stunning! I looked through them all and thought, ok, I’ll pick this, then scrolled down more and thought I’ll pick that one, then keep scrolling and I love this next one…. haha… so… i’d have to say antiqued aqua. Can’t wait to see these fan decks!

  34. Secret Path. I love the connection to the peace of the woods in summer – especially when all I can see out my window right now is winter white.

  35. Well, it isn’t in this collection, but I just painted my bedroom in “Old Pickup” Blue and it looks wonderful with my white furniture and black accessories. I get so many compliments on it.

  36. Old soul and porch swing for my dining room. Can’t wait to get started. Truthfully the whole deck is edible. I wish I could sample them all.

  37. I am salivating over the new Color Stories collection. My favorite color would have to be Antique Glass–I can just see the bottle sitting on the kitchen windowsill–followed closely by Antiqued Aqua.

  38. And the Winners are…. Jill McDonald, Doddie Hecht, and Julia Garcia! Congratulations on winning the Color Stories fan decks!

  39. Oh my. Based on my experience, creating colors using more than 2 chromatic pigments is a recipe for disaster. 5-7 will make it impossible to tint these colors on a consistant basis. You’ll need a WIDE tolerance of accuracy of the tinted paint to the chip. That’s why nobody has done this before (successfully anyways).
